2017 !

Let’s face it!  I am not good at updating my Blog.  Confession of an artist.. Here are some of my newest.  All have been done using Coloured Pencil except for the Flowers, Plein Air done in Oils… So as you can see I have been busy…

Faces and Places

Its been awhile. ! I’m still painting and still creating new ideas.  Getting ready for the women’s show here in Fredericton, NB.  April 30-May 1, 2016 at the Richard Currie Centre.  My newest work features faces on  canvas bags… All with a story to tell from their reflective glasses.

Where has the time gone!

New Years resolution !  Start posting on my blog.  I have been busy painting and not posting .  Since last New Years I have practised with my coloured pencils. My goal was achieved and I have done some commissions and entered 2 large pieces in the fredericton Society of artist’s fall show.  I am quite pleased with my effort.  For Christmas I received the ultimate. 36 faber castell polychromas. Sure brought me back  to when I was a child and so excited to get a new box of crayons … Whatever keeps us young at heart then we shall never grow old.

50's Girl Mosaic

50’s Girl Mosaic

2014 promises to be a great year starting off with the Beaverbrook Art Gallery Members show on January 23, 2014 .  I have 2 paintings – one of my Mosaic – where I cut up 10 of my paintings in 1/2 inch square… the 2nd painting none other than the statue of the Lord Beaverbrook himself showing the Lighthouse downtown FrederictonWith the beginning of a new year comes NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS!  My resolution is to think outside the box,  get the Prismacolours out and master the Art of Coloured Pencils.   This art form can be quite striking taking on the form of an oil painting / watercolour or pastels… I think I’ve contemplated this before, but this time I’m ready, got the books, the work station, got all the tools…. Here I go!

2012 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The new Boeing 787 Dreamliner can carry about 250 passengers. This blog was viewed about 1,300 times in 2012. If it were a Dreamliner, it would take about 5 trips to carry that many people.
